Child Action supports the educational development of children living in India's most impoverished street and slum communities, working closely with partner NGO's based in Mumbai.
Child Action creates educational opportunities for children living within India’s most disadvantaged street and slum communities.
Together with our local partners, we support the development of young people living in extreme poverty by providing them with access to both informal and mainstream education, as well as their right to a childhood through play.
Child Action also believes in the power of educating the younger generations here in the UK on the issues of global poverty, and supports children in learning how to take responsibility by fundraising for their less fortunate peers.
Child Action’s main focus is to enable the best possible start in life, so that children and young adults may remain in school and gain relevant vocational training for future employment.
Child Action aims to:
- To provide children living within India's most impoverished street and slum communities with educational and enterprising opportunities, in order to support their development towards a better future.
- To educate children living in the UK on the daily challenges faced by their peers living in poverty in India; to raise awareness and encourage social responsibility in the younger generations.
