Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

Help for Heroes provides comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses whilst serving our country. We do this through grants to individuals, funding other military and specialist charities, and our four Recovery Centres across the UK which offer support for life. The money raised by the hugely generous public has been used to support our wounded, but there is still so much more to do.

Becoming wounded, injured or sick, whether physically, or mentally, impacts on every aspect of life. We know that in order for anyone to lead happy and productive lives, they need to have balance across the five main pillars: Medical, Mind, Body, Spirit and Family. Which is why Help for Heroes is developing the concept of 360° support working to ensure our beneficiaries have access to comprehensive support across the five pillars, either directly through one of our Recovery Centres or indirectly through one of our charity partners; most importantly this support must be for life.

Soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives. They are still battling and we won't let them battle alone.
