  • Mission statement

Project HOPE UK is passionate about the health and overall welbeing of orphan and vulnerable children worldwide. At the heart of our operation is a groundbreaking ten-year project in a township, Munsieville, South Africa, where we are seeking to mobilise an entire community to demonstrate the power of collaborative action to deliver truly sustainable improvements to the health and total well-being of orphans and other vulnerable children, and provide a credible, externally validated “model of excellence”, offering practical solutions to the challenges posed to impoverished communities across Southern Africa. The programme, known locally as The Thoughtful Path Munsieville, seeks to identify and address all the key drivers of poor health in children, including poverty, poor education, abuse, stigma and lack of basic health care. We work with a consortium of local community-based organisations, schools and faith groups, and enjoy the enthusiastic support of our Patron, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who was raised in Munsieville

  • Aims

Project Hope, United Kingdom aims to:

    • To replicate the Thoughtful Path: model and take it to other townships in Africa.
