Home-Start Norfolk is a charity supporting families with young child who are disadvantaged and struggling to cope.
We train parent volunteers to provide practical and emotional support to families in need.

  • Mission statement

    Home-Start Norfolk aims to help give children the best possible start in life, by supporting parents to grow in confidence,develop and strengthen their relationships with their children. We support families with at least one child under five who are disadvantaged due to disability, physical or mental health problems, bereavement, social isolation, domestic violence, challenging children's behaviour or struggling to manage the needs of twins or triplets.
    Our fully trained parent volunteers support families weekly by helping them in various ways such as accessing appointments, emotional support, practical help with shopping or cooking, helping them manage children's challenging behaviour and reducing their feelings of isolation.
