Homemakers is a recycling charity who work with disadvantaged adults

  • Mission statement

    The purpose of the project is to promote and develope a range of community recycling activities throughout Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent. Homemakers involves the most disadvantaged members of the community to carry out it's activities. Homemakers also works with local schools to promote recycling and reuse to the next generation.

  • Aims

    Homemakers Community Recycling aims to:

    • "To raise awareness, educate and promote the need for recycling within the counties of Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent"
    • "To give people of all backgrounds an opportunity to gain valuable work experience through voluntary work."
    • "To help reduce landfill within the counties of Monmouthshire & Blaenau Gwent along with helping those people in need at the same time."
    • To provide furniture free of charge to those in unfortunate circumstances through a hardship fund
    • "To provide affordable furniture to those people in need."
