Founded 2012

  • Mission statement

Built on the site of earlier medieval churches, Old St Martin’s is one of only two churches in Worcester city centre open daily for services and the church has a long tradition of involvement with and service to the community. Its Parish rooms have in the past served a wide variety of charities and other community groups.
However, the Parish rooms are now dilapidated and are in very urgent need of repair and ancillary areas such as the lavatories (which were installed in Edwardian times) and the kitchen facilities are in a very poor state and are also in significant need of an upgrade.

The PCC of OSM has embarked on an ambitious restoration programme for the Church, which incorporates the repair and restoration of the parish rooms, upgrading of the lavatories, the installation of a servery within the church and the transformation of the current church yard into a garden for the city, for use by local residents, visitors, tourists and city workers.

The Friends of Old St Martin's is working to support the development of this project.
