  • Mission statement

    SAPERE's mission is the advancement of education for the public benefit, in particular amongst those young persons up to the age of 16 years, by the promotion of the development of their skills in logical thinking and other philosophical techniques so that their personal and social lives are enriched.

    In furtherance of our mission SAPERE:
    i. Promotes and assisst in the development of educational courses and materials, especially Professor Matthew Lipman's "Philosophy for Children".
    ii. Assists in the publication of written and recorded materials, and in the organisation of public or private meetings, lectures and conferences.
    iii. Promotes research and to assist in publishing the results thereof.
    iv. Sponsors and conducts courses and training, especially for teachers.
    v. Develops relations with other societies and organisations, especially in the field of philosophy, education and welfare.
