Jigsaw (South east) is a local children’s charity (also a company limited by guarantee). Our main office is based in East Grinstead but our service supports children in the Surrey and Sussex area.
We provide a pre-bereavement and a bereavement service for children and young people in this area and are unique in providing a 6 week grief support groups for our families; our pre-bereavement project is in partnership with Macmillan. Our skilled workers also provide 1-1 work with children, parenting work, support to schools and other organisations as well as a training programme for professionals. We are a medium sized charity with a staff group of 13 and with approximately 30 volunteers who help us run our service. We also provide an advocacy group for our young people called ‘Your Say’ which encourages them to help shape our service for the future. Further information can be found at www. Jigsawsoutheast. Org.     To support bereaved children, young people and their families and those affected by a family member with a serious illness that has terminal diagnosis by providing them with emotional support and to teach them coping strategies that will help them now and in the future. To empower them to have a voice and make decisons in their own lives.
