  • Mission statement

Rhythms of Life is an all-volunteer registered homelessness charity based in London, which provides sustenance and support for those in need-those homeless, sleeping rough, or struggling to support themselves or their families on low income and benefits.

Since our founding, we have offered daily food parcels to the homeless and those struggling to get by on low income and benefits. We still give out food every day including Christmas Day and have served over 87,560 hot meals and over 195,000 sandwiches to vulnerable Londoners. Our charity operates with the help of our donors such as: Lidl, EAT, Greggs and Lush.

We currently rely on a team of circa 29 volunteers and employ no salaried staff. Our volunteers are responsible for managing all areas within the charity including the running of our charity shop, food collection, preparation, distribution, marketing, fundraising and administration.

The feedback gained from forums we run with our service users and the statistics we have compiled in the last five years suggests that the sustenance and support our service provides has helped users avoid further social and economic problems. We now want to begin free classes that will encourage our service users to become even independent and play a more active role in society. This will be facilitated through increased job prospects and quality of life, gained by learning essential life skills in our classes to become more self-sufficient.

  • Aims

Rhythms Of Life International aims to:

    • We provide support for the homeless by distributing food and collecting donations (clothing, duvets etc) on their behalf. This ensures that they are able to eat and keep warm - the bare necessities.
    • We would like to offer free classes in a Skills For Life programme in order to help our service users out of the homelessness and poverty trap, making a positive, long term difference in their lives.
