Villiers Park Educational Trust

Villiers Park Educational Trust empowers bright students to fulfil their potential, with a focus on those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Founded 1924

  • Mission statement

Villiers Park enables young people to reach their full academic potential and develop a passion for learning. We are committed to fair access – enabling students from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain places at leading universities. We accomplish this through:

    • Inspiring Excellence Programme: challenging, subject-specific residential courses for students in Years 12/13
    • Scholars Programme: a programme of personalised support for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds from Year 10 to Year 13 which aims to overcome all the barriers these young people may face. The programme operates in seven areas across the UK.
    • Villiers Park INVOLVE: using our participants as drivers of improvement in their schools and colleges
    • Advisory Service: helping schools and colleges to reflect on their current practice and develop it so all students, including the most able, are stretched and challenged.
    • Shaping Your Future: using our network of professional alumni and supporting organisations to provide career guidance to recent alumni
    • Advocacy: influencing policy and strategy on fair access to universities to improve social mobility

Our vision is a future where all talent thrives. We ensure bright students experience a challenging and inspirational education, no matter what their socio-economic background, which leads to an improvement in social mobility in the UK.
