CONNECTAR TRAINING & BIODIVERSITY TRUST

Our vision is connecting the rehabilitation of disadvantaged people with the conservation of the honeybee and other pollinators in the UK.

Founded 2013

  • Mission statement

The aim of the Trust is to promote the development of disadvantaged people by addressing the barriers to resettlement in achieving their full potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Our work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to protect honeybees, pollinators and their environment.

By harmonising our two aims we provide a link between biodiversity conservation, and training the disadvantaged resulting in their rehabilitation being compatible and mutually beneficial.

  • Aims

CONNECTAR TRAINING & BIODIVERSITY TRUST aims to:

    • The advancement of education and the relief of poverty by developing the capacity and skills of members of the socially disadvantaged community of the United Kingdom.
    • Our targeted groups include ex members of HM forces, ex-offenders, people from the NEET group, in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs.
    • promote for the benefit of the public the conservation and protection of honey bees and other insect pollinators and improvement of their physical and natural environment.
    • To provide training for clients in organic bee keeping, bee hive management and appropriate flora and fauna with the emphasis on honey bee survival rather than the production of bee hive products.
    • To build capacity of our manufacturing facility, creating employment opportunities and to become self-sustaining.
