  • Mission statement

Our programme at Aspex has two primary aims - to support artists at the early stage of their career, and also bring contemporary art to the wider community through our wide ranging participation programme.

We support artists through regular seminars, one to ones and crit groups, and our biennial open submission competition EMERGENCY.

Our participation programme, which forms the other part of our aims, includes regular workshops for children, local schools, children with special education needs and autism, older people and the local community which help demonstrate that contemporary art is for all!

  • Aims

    • That Aspex will ensure that all potential artists have the opportunity to develop their practice, regardless of their background.
