Home Start Manchester North

Home-Start recruits, trains and supervises local parent volunteers whom provide weekly emotional and practical home visiting support to families with young children whom are experiencing difficulties.

    Our vision is of all parents being empowered to give their children an excellent start in life so that they may enjoy a happy, secure childhood, and achieve their full potential, transforming the communities in which we serve.

  • Aims

    Home Start Manchester North aims to:

    • To enable families to cope with their difficulties, become more confident and feel less marginalised.
    • To increase the number of families with young children making use of local services, are less isolated and have wider horizons.
    • To enable local people to enter into further training, volunteering or employment.
    • To make family homes safer and happier so that children feel safer and happier.
    • To increase community capacity; positive outcomes acheived for local people by local people.
