Mother And Child

Crisis Kids are children who face destitution now, or who may do in the near future, if we don't do something about it. These include children with HIV, refugee children displaced by brutal violence in and around Africa, and children who have been orphaned or abandoned, who have nowhere to go but the projects we support.
In West Africa today, many children live lives of vulnerability and poverty. Our worry is the children, right now, today, who will have nowhere to live, and nobody to turn to if we do not act.

  • Mission statement

    Our Vision:
Mother and Child looks forward to a world in which the lives of children are no longer torn apart by war, sickness, and poverty.

    Our Mission:
Mother and Child’s mission is to support and improve the protection and care of children and young people who live with a combination of insecurity, poverty and exclusion in some of the worst conflict,poverty-affected places.
Mother and Child is a specialist agency. We work in West African countries devastated by poverty, famine, war, and HIV. We need to be organised and imaginative enough to operate amongst multiple task. We need to have the persistence and skill to help children suffering the worst effects of violence including child soldiers, victims of rape and abduction, disabled children and street children. We are often very close to the fighting, but we need to becommitted to standing by children and families long enough to provide them the best possible assistance in overcoming their experiences.
