  • Mission statement

    AWP empowers Asian women and their families through social economic support to play a full and active role in society, which is recognised by all section of the community and underpinned by equality and quality.

    AWP activities include:

    1. Health workshops on CVD, obesity, diabetes, health eating, physical activity.
    2. Carry out fund raising activities for disaster relief for Asian Women and families in third world countries.
    3. Training and education to seek develop skills and secure employment and self employment
    4. Infant mortality
    5. Social and moral support to
    6. Hand holding and befriending schemes
    7. Lunch club for Older and people with disability.
    8. Child development and parenting classes
    9. Youth activity- Young people not in education or employment.
    10. Women fleeing from domestic violence, victims of war, forced marriages.

  • Aims

    Asian Womens Project Limited (AWP) aims to:

    • To relieve poverty, sickness and disability primarily living and working in Nottingham.
    • To provide accessible education and training services for Asian in conjunction with the provision of other special support, which will prepare for employment.
    • To promote activities which are charitable according to English Law and for public benefit in order to benefit Asian Women.
    • To promote good race relations, by endeavouring to eliminate discrimination on the ground of race, gender, age, sexual oriantation, and encouraging equality of opportunities between differetn races.
