Norton House Selly Oak

Providing a 'home from home' for the families of injured service personnel

Founded 2009

  • Mission statement

Norton House at Selly Oak, Birmingham. Within the house we have many families whose loved ones have been brought to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries of varying degrees.

When a family gets a phone call or a knock on the door to say their loved one has been wounded or is seriously ill the last thing they want to do is worry about where they can stay to be near them. This is the reason for the existence of Norton House which provides a home – from home for them whilst their loved one is receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the service of their country. The families can be from the Army, Royal Navy or RAF and when they loved one has started to recover they too can stay at the house to spend quality time with their family

  • Aims

Norton House Selly Oak aims to:

    • To provide a safe and secure environment for the families of service personnel who are being treated at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and to offer them all the support they need.
