Leukaemia UK is a leading blood cancer charity. We support families affected by leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma and other blood cancers.
In the UK someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer every 14 minutes. At Leukaemia UK, we understand that a blood cancer diagnosis can turn your life, and that of your family and friends, upside down. We are here to help.
Leukaemia UK (until Nov 17 known as The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund) focuses on the treatment and cure of Leukaemia, Lymphomas and related blood cancers. We work with hospitals and clinicians to improve the care for people living with blood cancer and fund research into better, kinder ways of treating the disease.
Leukaemia UK helps fund large projects, such as research centres and new wards, but never forgets that small things make a big difference too. We are pioneering the provision of dedicated emotional support for patients and families to enable them to better cope with their disease and treatments, and also to ensure they are on a pathway back to normal life after treatment. We also provide grants for individuals facing hardship during treatment.
Leukaemia UK aims to:
- We are pioneering the provision of dedicated support and wellbeing services for patients and families facing the devastation of a blood cancer diagnosis.
- To work in partnership with hospitals throughout the UK and provide funds for innovative medical research within the field of haematology.
- To directly improve the care of patents and their well-being during treatment of blood cancers and provide financial assistance to those facing hardship.
