Independent Advocacy North Tyneside

IANT provides advocacy services to people with a disability, mental health issue and older people. This enables individuals to express their views, communicate their choices, access services and participate in decision making.

    “To enable the voices of vulnerable people in North Tyneside to be heard through the provision of a range of independent advocacy services, tailored to the needs of individuals. ”

  • Aims

    Independent Advocacy North Tyneside aims to:

    • To provide issue-based case advocacy to people with a physical and/or learning disability, mental health issue, acquired brain injury, older people and people from BME communities.
    • To develop and support long-term citizen case advocacy partnerships between volunteers and vulnerable adults.
    • To facilitate Self Advocacy Groups for people with disabilities to encourage and develop their self advocacy skills.
