We seek to assist communities in a rural area of Nepal to improve all aspects of education for their children. Working with schools & social welfare clubs we identify needs and help fund improvements

Founded 2008

  • Mission statement

    (a) To improve educational provision for young people in Nepal, with priority given to schools and graduates of schools in the Pragatinagar and Devchuli village districts of Nawalparasi, but with the ability to help schools and young people in other areas if the Trust has resources and a desire to do so.

    (b) Specifically to channel financial assistance to schools in Pragatinagar and Devchuli village districts, Nepal, to address their current under-resourcing in terms of buildings, staffing, scholarships, learning materials and equipment.

    (c) Where appropriate to give individual help to scholars or their families from Pragatinagar and Devchuli village districts to be in a position to access higher education through sponsorship or bursaries.

    (d) To help fund direct additional occasional teaching input to schools in the Pragatinagar and Devchuli village districts of Nawalparasi, given by volunteers from abroad.

    Support has included provision of grants for buildings, repairs, water filtration systems, toilets, teacher salaries, teacher training, scholarships for children from poor families, computers, classroom materials, whiteboards, protein in diets, playparks, games equipment, books, health education, science equipment, assessments for deaf children, out of school visits and volunteer support.
