Centre 33 is a highly respected and proactive registered charity providing information, advice and counselling to around 4,000 young people aged 8 to 25 in Cambridgeshire each year.

  • Mission statement

    Centre 33 is here so that all young people have easy access to a confidential, safe place where they can get the support they need to fulfil their potential. We work alongside young people to overcome the effects of poor health, isolation, disadvantage and inequality.

    Centre 33 provides free and confidential services. We offer support and advocacy, housing advice, counselling and mental health support, sexual health support and support to young carers. We reach out to young people in their own communities.

    The needs we will meet are:
     Need for information and support to access this information
     Need for support to access services and advocacy
     Homelessness and threat of homelessness
     Need for support, activity and participation for young carers
     Mental Distress
     Emerging mental health problems
     Need for information about sexual health and sexual health services

    We adhere to the Every Child Matters outcomes for our work with young people at Centre 33. Every child and young person,whatever their background or their circumstances, is to have the support they need to

    •Enjoy and achieve – getting the most out of life and developing the skills for adulthood.

  • Aims

    Centre Thirty Three Young People's Counselling And Information Service aims to:

    • To enable young people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to access the support they need to keep their housing or find an alternative.
    • For young carers have reduced social isolation
    • For young people to have access to information and advice that helps them to stay safe and make healthy choices.
    • For young people in Cambridgeshire have an improved ability to manage feelings and deal with mental distress constructively
    • For young people in Cambridgeshire have an increased understanding of sexual health.
