Whether we are transforming our campus or funding the best researchers to fight cancer, your support, combined with the University's investment, can help change lives.

Founded 1900

  • Mission statement

The University focuses on enabling people: our students, our staff, and our local, regional, and global communities, both now and into the future. We make strategic investments that enable outstanding people to do outstanding things.

We continue to attract the very best students to Birmingham regardless of their financial situation and have developed a series of internships to enhance student employability.

We are planning to build the most ambitious new library in U. K. Higher education and a new Sports Centre to house the region’s first 50m swimming-pool.

We enable medical breakthroughs through pioneering research at the intersection of medicine and the physical and life sciences, and continue to find ways to fight cancer and other infectious diseases.

Join us and together we will forge a leading global university that will solve tomorrow’s problems today.
