Joss Searchlight is one of the few UK charities dedicated to supporting families affected by childhood cancer. We offer emotional and practical support for families and grant wishes for the children.
Our vision is for all families affected by childhood cancer to have the support they need. We aim to be a central point for support, guidance and networking within the community.
Our mission is to ensure the accessibility of face-to-face family support by plugging the gaps that exist with professional support.
Cancer is a chronic disease, not always a deadly one, some children live with cancer for many years even those cancers which over time cause death. For most families this means they will have to deal with the real chance of their child's death at some point in the future. In the meantime the family's focus needs to be on how to live with their child's cancer.
