Charity information

We are a social enterprise that has been established by service personnel to give those that have served their country the opportunity to continue serving their communities.

Founded 2012

  • Mission statement

Our aim is to employ veterans from across the globe; using their inspirational skills to help less fortunate people within our society to get their life back, and to achieve a renewed and reinvigorated purpose. Our events and activities are also designed to inspire and develop leadership skills in the corporate sector, with a distinct focus on moral courage and leadership. BackOutThere pursues the following empowering principles:

Explore: BackOutThere is about exploring the world, meeting new people, and includes physical, spiritual and emotional exploration. The rewards are friendships, memories and experiences that enhance life.

Courage: we believe in doing the right thing; moral courage and the confidence to step into the unknown and make a difference to the world around us, regardless of ability or experience.

Connection: Invigorating the positive nature of global bonds and brotherhood to inspire friendships and connections that instill a sense of confidence.

Achievement: we want to demonstrate positive achievement through adversity and make people aware of life's possibilities.

Passion: we believes in putting heart and soul into life, to make it count: be passionate and enthuse others.

Faith: we encourage people to have faith in themselves and believe in something wider, be that communities, ideas, or other people.

Patience: we promote patience with ones self, strangers, family and friends.

Support: an understanding and inclusive organisation.
