The Vision of LOOK is to be of the first points of contact and guidance for families with children affected by visual impairment.

  • Mission statement

    Our mission is to improve the lives of families with Visually Impaired children and young people by providing support, information and activities with a view to helping them gain the best outcomes in life and reach their full potential.

  • Aims

    Look National Federation Of Families With Visually Impaired Children aims to:

    • Adult Services Helpline Service: Advice and information on any issue relating to Visual Impairment, plus emotional support, signposting and linking families with similar issues.
    • Family Events: National and regional events, often in the form of family weekends where parents and children can relax, be with people who understand and share their experiences.
    • Look Magazine: a twice-yearly publication with a circulation of 4000 sent to members and professionals.
    • Children and Young People OutLOOK Youth Project Events & activities initiated by and run by young people age 11-25 where the emphasis is on making connections, developing skill, increasing self-esteem
    • Audio magazine: a twice yearly audio magazine made by young people showcasing their talents and reflecting their concerns.
