ESCAYP- Emotional Support for Children And Young People offers counselling and therapeutic play to children and young people aged 3-21 years. We work with all issues & cover West Yorkshire.

  • Mission statement

    Our aim is to offer a counselling and therapeutic play service free to children and young people across West Yorkshire (agencies are charged a nominal fee)
    We work from venues including Sports Centres, Libraries and Children's Centres etc. That are not labelled as 'Mental Health Services. '
    All counselling is carried out on a one to one basis and is absolutely confidential (with the exception of safeguarding issues)
    All counsellors hold a minimum of a recognised Diploma, hold an enhanced CRB, are fully insured and members of the BACP. We offer placements to suitable 2nd year students on a recognised counselling training Diploma. (Students work with 16 plus clients)

    Escayp aims to:

    • To offer a free counselling & therapeutic play service to children &young people aged 3-21 years
    • To carry out counselling & therapeutic play in an environment that is ' young people friendly'
    • To work with all issues that a young person may bring,including physical/sexual abuse, bullying, bereavement, self harm etc.
