Iftiin Education & Development was founded in 26 January 2008 by self-motivated group of Somali Diaspora in Britain who share common objectives and goals.

    Our Vision:
    •To enable every child the right to access to sustainable education and improved livelihood system.
    •To combat poverty and backwardness in Somalia in general and the south central Somalia in particular where the civil war and natural disasters badly affected them.
    Our Mission:
    •IFEDA exists to empower communities, local institutions and individuals to realize their full potentials.
    •Provision of primary health care, education, clean water, agriculture and livestock development, humanitarian assistance, gender balance improvement, and capacity building in local institutions

    Mission Statement:
    •To Provide high quality and accessible education and livelihood support ( health, clean water, rural development and environment protection improved food security to Somali community particularly in south central parts
    •Our first priority is to keep children and youth away from the violence through creating for them free education and job opportunities.

  • Aims

    Iftiin Education & Development aims to:

    • • To improve the livelihood situation of our community through better education, creation of job opportunities, health improvement and agricultural development, clean water provision, conflict management.
    • • Illiteracy elimination through sustainable and accessible basic education and vocational training for every gender.
    • • Promoting mother and child care health centres and MCH’s. • Raising community awareness and capacity building regarding to self-reliance, influencing decision making process, good governess and strengthening civil society of all genders.
    • • To work with the community based organisations, government other non-governmental organisations in the development of the community services.
    • • To improve the quality and accessibility of drinking water
