Centre for Vision in the Developing World

Over one billion people in the developing world cannot access the glasses that they need to see clearly. We work to provide vision correction for all, by researching new approaches including self-adjustable eyeglasses, where the user corrects their own vision without needing highly-trained optometrists.

The Centre for Vision in the Developing World was founded by Professor Josh Silver, the inventor of Adspecs (the world's first self-adjustable eyeglasses) and is a part of St Catherine's College, Oxford.
