  • Mission statement

    The conservation of the environment in the Medlock and Tame Valleys and the surrounding districts, both urban and rural. The preservation of natural rivers and their tributaries, the protection of flora and fauna, the preservation of structures of architectural or archaeological interest and the prevention of litter, pollution and damage to amenities in the Medlock and Tame Valleys. Also the maintenance of the large wildlife, woodland garden attached to our headquarters and the maintenance of the building used for our conservation meetings and events.

    Medlock & Tame Valley Conservation Association aims to:

    • To provide a wildlife garden for the local community to study birds, animals, insects and pond life.
    • To provide facilities for an alternative energy workshop to develop wind, solar and water power.
    • To maintain facilities for social events and environmental presentations.
