Cecily's Fund is a non-governmental organisation committed to improving the prospects for every Zambian orphan and vulnerable child to grow up to lead a self-reliant, healthy and fulfilling life.
We collaborate with trusted Zambian partner organisations to ensure that orphans and vulnerable children have access to education, and gain knowledge, life skills and HIV information.
We are committed to supporting the children on our programmes right through to the end of their schooling; this means a commitment of up to twelve years per child – more if they take part in our teaching programme. We provide long-term support, for long-term sustainability.
Cecily's Fund aims to:
- To improve the post-school opportunities of orphans and vulnerable children through advocacy and offering teacher and peer health educator training.
- To build the capacity of local partners to strengthen government efforts and support more orphans and vulnerable children.
- To reduce the vulnerability of orphans and vulnerable children by providing school materials, fees and access to HIV information and support in school.
