Barrow Farm RDA

We provide the facility for people with disabilities and /or special needs to enjoy and benefit from taking part in an equestrian activity all ages. We have indoor and outdoor riding schools, a mounting ramp and hoist. We have a small staff all of whom are UKCC trained and regularly assessed by RDA National. We have a team of 12 fabulous horses and ponies and over 100 wonderful volunteers.

    Our aim at Barrow Farm is to enable people with special needs and disabilities to develop their abilities and enrich their lives through riding.
    People from all parts of our community come together through a shared love of horses and a desire to learn or help others learn and benefit from riding. At Barrow farm they find

    Barrow Farm RDA aims to:

    • Enable children and adults to benefit in their mental and physical health from riding ponies and horses. to improve balance and co-ordination leading to improved /maintained mobility and independence.
    • To enable the disabled to enjoy and achieve at equestrian sport with resulting benefits in self confidence. To meet people at riding and so widen their social circle.To improve self esteem.
