Woodlarks Camp Site Trust

Woodlarks Camp Site Trust provides camping facilities for disabled people for up to a week at a time between the months of May to September. There are no paid staff at the site, all are volunteers.

Founded 1930

  • Mission statement

Woodlarks provides camping facilities for disabled people, who come in groups a week at a time throughout each summer. During term time a number of special needs schools and organisations come with their own staff. The remaining eight or nine groups are staffed entirely by volunteers, who pay the same modest fee as the disabled campers. Most people sleep in the tents provided, by choice, but there are support buildings including a new state-of-the-art sleeping and toilet wing. The dining room is due to be replaced as funds allow.
All administration and much maintenance is carried out by volunteers. Woodlarks has no paid staff.
