Art in Healthcare

Art in Healthcare is a charity with more than 20 years experience of finding artworks for hospitals and healthcare centres including hospices, care homes, GP offices, dental surgeries, and medical research centres.

We pride ourselves on the flexibility of our approach, the high level of our expertise and outstanding personal service. We have a track record of delivering creative solutions on time and on budget.

  • Mission statement

    The purpose of Art in Healthcare is to enliven the environment in Scottish healthcare settings to improve the quality of life for patients, visitors and staff. Through consultation and discussion, we employ art to engage and create stimulating environments that positively affect one’s mental wellbeing and contribute to an effective healing process. We support the arts and local artists and continue to build a prestigious Collection, which is used to provide more familiar, human spaces at Scottish healthcare facilities.

    Art in Healthcare aims to:

    • To collaborate with artists, art colleges and universities to develop and improve our work
    • To foster education and participation in the visual arts
    • To demonstrate the positive contribution of art to the wellbeing of patients, visitors and staff in healthcare environments
    • To be the leading provider of original, contemporary art for healthcare facilities across Scotland
