Framework

Framework supports over 11,000 people across the East Midlands and parts of South Yorkshire on their journey away from homelessness and towards a stable and independent life.

Founded 2001

  • Mission statement

MIssion Statement: "To nurture opportunity and choice for homeless and vulnerable people through high quality prevention, housing, support, treatment, training and employment services. "

Framework is a leading charity in the East Midlands supporting homeless and vulnerable people. Through more than 60 services we help rough sleepers, people in need of emergency accommodation or fleeing abuse and domestic violence; care leavers; people fighting alcohol and drug addiction and people with enduring mental health problems.

We believe passionately that tackling homelessness effectively takes more than putting a roof over someone’s head: underlying economic, social, medical and emotional needs must also be addressed. So restoring human dignity and self-belief to empower life-altering change is at the heart of our work.

For homeless people providing safe, good quality accommodation is the place to start. For people at risk we prevent homelessness through expert - often legal - interventions. We provide skills for independent living, job-focused training, and employment opportunities through social enterprises: 10% of our workforce are former service users.

These service user comments show how Framework saves and changes lives:
"Thanks to Framework I've stopped drinking after years living rough as a street drinker. "
"Framework can take the credit for me still being here today. "
"Framework have helped me start my life afresh with hope for the future. "
