Find Your Feet

We are a small and innovative charity that provides training and support for poor rural communities to enable them to find sustainable solutions to their hunger, poverty and discrimination.

Founded 1960

  • Mission statement

We believe in social justice: a world in which everyone has the right to build a future free from poverty. We work in India, Nepal, Malawi and Zimbabwe to mobilise local knowledge, skills and resources so more poor, rural families can find sustainable solutions to hunger and poverty. In the next three years we aim to increase our impact by 30% to reach 80,000 vulnerable people.

  • Aims

    Find Your Feet aims to:

    • We empower vulnerable and marginalised people to enable them to participate in local decision making and access their rights to land and government services.
    • We provide training and support in sustainable farming techniques so that poor rural farmers can increase the amount of food they grow and prevent their families from going hungry.
    • We enable communities to set up village credit schemes and small businesses so that poor rural households can increase their income and build a better future for themselves.
