Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign

NSC works in solidarity with Nicaraguan organisations and social movements struggling for social and economic justice by promoting and seeking support for their activities in the UK and occasionally by providing funding.

Founded 1978

  • Mission statement

Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign (NSC) works to address economic disadvantage in Nicaragua by channelling support to partner organisations and communities and building solidarity with them. Another major part of our work is educational: to disseminate information and raise awareness in the UK of social and economic issues affecting Nicaragua.

We carry this out through tours and delegations to Nicaragua, speaker tours here and campaigning activities. Our main area of work at present is Nicaragua and Climate Change. We produce a magazine, Nicaragua Now, twice a year and publish briefings, for example on ALBA. NSC also supports Wales NSC, our local groups and 13 towns and communities with twinning links in Nicaragua.
NSC is a membership organisation with offices in London and Managua and a network of affiliated individuals and groups in England, Scotland and Wales.
