Mankind

Support for men that have experienced sexual violation at any time in their lives

Founded 2000

  • Mission statement

Mankind offers support to men (18+) who have experienced rape and/or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. Through the provision of individual counselling and therapeutic groups, Mankind aims to enable men to engage with the negative issues arising from their sexually abusive experiences and find ways to move forward with an improved attitude towards their lives.

Recognising that male victims are not lone individuals, Mankind also provides counselling services to partners, family and friends to assist in dealing with the issues that can arise when a man discloses sexual abuse/assault.

  • Aims

    Mankind aims to:

    • To raise awareness of the issues for men who have experienced sexual violation
    • To improve the wellbeing of men who have suffered sexual violation so that they can move forward with their lives
