Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team

Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) is an Emergency Service, providing search and rescue of injured, lost and vulnerable persons in the Forest of Bowland and West Lancashire area. This service is on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and can operate in all weather conditions. It does this as a charity, funded entirely through donations and staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.

    Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team aims to:

    • To provide efficient search and rescue services, primarily but not exclusively on mountains and fells, for the benefit of any person or persons in need of such services.
    • To promote public safety in this subject by whatever charitable means the Executive Committee think fit.
