Amos Trust

Amos Trust is a small, creative human rights organisation, committed to challenging injustice, building hope and creating positive change.

We work with vibrant grass-roots partners around the world who are developing local solutions to global issues. Our partners are the experts we learn from – collaboration is at the heart of everything we do.

Founded 1985

  • Mission statement

Amos Trust is an international human rights charity that nurtures local responses to situations of injustice and fosters creative campaigns. Amos Trust currently seeks to:

Ensure that street children’s rites are realised and through our partner project Umthombo in South Africa and the Street Child World Cup that their voices are heard. Work with local partners who are promoting peace and a just resolution in Palestine and Israel. Promote equal rights and education programmes for dalits (formerly known as ‘untouchables’) in Southern India. Raise awareness of the integrated response of partner project CEPAD to the impact of climate change, poverty and political instability in Nicaragua.

Amos Trust is a faith based organisation which believes that nurturing hope takes considerable time. The Trust has therefore formed long term partnerships with grassroots responses that have inspired us by their creativity and commitment. This creativity is reflected in the campaigning activities undertaken by the Trust in the UK.
