Orchid

Over 43,000 men are diagnosed every year in the UK with testicular, prostate and penile cancer. Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working in the area of male-specific cancers. It provides support to people affected by or interested in these cancers through funding a world-class research programme, awareness and education campaigns and a range of vital support services.

    Orchid exists to save men's lives from prostate, penile and testicular cancers. Our aim is to promote greater knowledge and awareness about male specific cancers by funding integrated scientific and medical research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases and providing information about them to men and women throughout the UK, helping to ensure a better quality of life or even life itself for those affected.

    Orchid aims to:

    • Support services – Orchid offers everyone affected by or interested in male cancer an extensive range of services.
    • Education and awareness campaigns – on a national level Orchid raises awareness of male cancer and educates men in the signs and symptoms of cancer.
    • A pioneering, world class research programme - our funding of innovative research in the cancer field remains a key focus of Orchid’s work.
