  • Mission statement

    Our Mission is to combat social exclusion and raise young people's aspirations through high quality creative and educational activities for children, young people and their families.
    We primarily work with young people, particularly those identified as at risk, disadvantaged or vulnerable. These include young people living in challenging or volatile home environments, young people living in poverty, young people excluded or at risk of exclusion from school, young people who offend young carers and young people living in or leaving care, young refugees etc.
    We aim to ensure that all young people, regardless of their age, experiences or circumstances, have the opportunity to take part and enjoy creative activities together.

    The Garage Trust Ltd aims to:

    • Engage those who are experiencing barriers to participation in the arts, for whatever reason, and those who are at risk
    • Enable progression between the opportunities The Garage provides and further education, training and employment
    • Raise aspirations, foster positive citizenship, tolerance, empowerment and community cohesion across all ages and cultural backgrounds
    • Create opportunities for all to participate in creative activity, both as an enriching leisure activity and as a creative learning experience
