Bookfeast is an Oxfordshire charity which promotes a love of reading.
Bookfeast is dedicated to developing and sustaining the habit of reading, in order to nourish minds and build communities.
We run projects for Oxfordshire primary schools and in the wider community, inspiring and encouraging children and older people to enjoy, share and talk about books and to foster their own creativity.

  • Mission statement

    Bookfeast aims to engage Oxfordshire community in reading and literature with a particular emphasis upon disadvantaged sectors.
    Key projects are a Primary Schools Festival, Lunchboox groups for 9 -11 year olds and TeaBooks Groups for older people.

    Over the past ten years the Bookfeast team has provided author events for Oxfordshire Primary schools; readers in Residence for County Libraries; run writing and reviewing competitions; poetry performance competitions for secondary schools; story telling days at the Pitt Rivers, University and Ashmolean Museums; run a writing and art project with The Art Room, taken TeaBooks members to author events and much more!
