Enabling, Empowering and Enriching the Lives of Carers.
Southwark Carers provides information, advice and support to carers across the borough.
We also aim to raise awareness of the rights and needs of carers in Southwark by working in partnership with other local organisations to make sure that carers get as much support as possible.
A carer is someone who spends significant time providing care and supoprt for a relative, partner, friend or neighbour, who without this help would be unable to live independently.
Southwark Carers supports these unpaid family carers to ensure they have the emotional, financial and practical support they require to continue caring.
We work across the London Borough of Southwark, reaching out the the 25,000 carers in the area.
Southwark Carers aims to:
- To alleviate the conditions of life of carers in necessitous circumstances who care for the elderly, sick, disabled, mentally ill or otherwise infirm by any means that is charitable.
