London’s Air Ambulance is the registered charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London.

  • Mission statement

    London’s Air Ambulance is the only service providing doctor-led pre-hospital advanced trauma care to the 10 million people who live, work and commute within London’s M25, and has treated over 33,000 patients since inception in 1989. Based at the Royal London Hospital, London’s Air Ambulance operates 24/7, with a helicopter attending emergencies in daylight hours, and rapid response cars taking over at night or in adverse weather conditions. Our pioneering clinical procedures have been adopted throughout the UK and all around the world. As well as delivering our life-saving service we run world leading advanced training programmes designed to share our unique knowledge and expertise.

  • Aims

    London's Air Ambulance aims to:

    • The relief of sickness & physical injury by the provision of emergency medical services and equipment in particular by the provision of a helicopter air ambulance and rapid response vehicles at night
    • Acquire a second helicopter and extend our daylight flying hours
    • Develop and deliver a schools outreach programme
    • Grow our Institute of Pre-hospital Care to train and inspire the next generation of trauma doctors and health care professionals.
