Cheshire Community Action

Cheshire Community Action (CCA) is a local charity committed to promoting, encouraging and supporting self-help in the communities of Cheshire, Halton and Warrington. It does this primarily through providing support, advice and access to funding for organisations and projects designed to protect and enhance the communities of Cheshire. Our specialism is the support of rural communities, to be the rural voice, to advocate, lobby and deliver services within our more isolated communities. We do this with the support of our members.
CCA is one of 38 Rural Community Councils covering every shire county in England, born out of the need to regenerate rural England in the years following the First World War. The needs and issues surrounding rural communities such as isolation, access to services and transport have never gone away and Cheshire Community Action is committed to developing and sustaining the County’s communities, helping to improve quality of life. We continue to help local communities to identify problems and then seek solutions while building self-reliance and encouraging self-help.
