The Two Ridings Community Foundation aims to build stronger communities by encouraging and facilitating local philanthropy in and for the long term benefit of North and East Yorkshire, York and Hull.

    The Two Ridings Community Foundation the Community Foundation for North Yorkshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire, York and Hull.

    We are committed to improving the quality of people's lives, alleviating deprivation, disadvantage and difficulty, and helping to build stronger communities for future generations in these areas. To do so we make grants to small charitable projects, community groups and grassroots ventures to support the disadvantaged and vulnerable in our area.

    The range of projects and issues supported by the Foundation is therefore broad and includes;

    - Support and activities for people with disabilities, mobility problems, health and mental health difficulties

    - Young people's opportunities, activities, sports and drama groups, scouts and guides, training and education

    - Provision for elderly members of society, from forums, talks and trips to winter warmth, support groups and access to services

    - Village halls, playgroups, playgrounds, playing fields and rural isolation

    Two Ridings Community Foundation aims to:

    • To encouraging and facilitate philanthropy, local giving, corporate social responsibility and community involvement in North and East Yorkshire, York and Hull
    • To support and strengthen North and East Yorkshire, York & Hull communities and people via grant-making to small charitable groups and local community projects that alleviate hardship and disadvantage
