Smart Works

We help women on low incomes get back to work. We give them a smart professional outfit to wear to their job interview followed by one-to-one interview training to boost their confidence.

Founded 2000

  • Mission statement

Smart Works is an independent UK charity that helps vulnerable women get back to work by providing them with interview clothes and training to boost their confidence and help them succeed at their job interview.

Clients are referred to Smart Works from job centres, welfare to work agencies, prisons, women's refuges and many other organisations. In addition to providing clothes for interview and interview training, Smart Works offers on-going support to women seeking employment including help with CVs, confidence-building workshops and a mentoring programme. One in two of our clients go on to succeed at their job interview.
