Youthdirect is a youth club which organises out of school activities and a summer holiday program for disadvantaged children in London, with emphasis on the London Boroughs of Barnet, Hackney and Haringey.

Founded 2003

  • Mission statement

Participants, who attend independent faith schools, often come from larger families, many of whom are usually at or below the threshold and are on means tested benefits and are unable to give their children those extras most people take for granted.
We support these families by offering free or minimal cost out of school and holiday activities, offering children the opportunity to participate in educational and confidence building activities in a fun filled and culturally appropriate environment. Having structure to their out of school hours including School Holidays will go a long way to prevent youth from joining gangs and participating in criminal activities.

  • Aims

    Youthdirect aims to:

    • Youth Direct aims to aid the social, emotional and educational development of Jewish disadvantaged children and young people through educational and self esteem building activities.
    • Youthdirect aims to support youth to engage in stimulating out of school activities , to prevent gang behaviour and crime.
