Bath City Farm

Bath City Farm is a 37acre community managed green space that provides a community service to all residents of Bath and North East Somerset but is geographically based in a densely populated area of high deprivation in the South West area of the City.

Bath City Farm’s mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment – rich in bio-diversity, that offers local people experiences that :- celebrate the locality and the natural world, empower those at a disadvantage, raise awareness of farm animal welfare and the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and engender a sense of custodianship of the Farm and ultimately the wider environment.

We do this by providing an informal educational environment for children, young people and their families, with an emphasis on healthy living and caring for the environment and volunteering opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged people; we also hold local celebratory events and community activities such as evening bat walks. The Farm offers year round open access to the meadows, woodland, wildlife pond and farmyard; we have high welfare standards for our animals and via our Countryside Stewardship Agreement we manage the land in such a way as to encourage bio-diversity.
