    The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.

    Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is at work in over 40 countries helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strengthen their communities.

    • To meet the needs and aspirations of those we serve, we will lead the reform of the humanitarian aid sector by: 1. Reaching more people more quickly to match the scale and urgency of today’s crises.
    • 2. Setting new standards for quality and effectiveness through evidence and innovation.
    • 3. Building tools and systems that enable our staff to focus on high-impact programs.
