  • Mission statement

St Clare Hospice exists to meet the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of those with advanced and progressive terminal illness and of their carers, through the provision of specialist palliative care services, based on need, as far as its resources allow.

At St Clare Hospice we provide specialist palliative care to the local community. People with illness such as cancer, end stage neurological, cardiac, renal or lung disease are cared for in our In-Patient Unit, or as Day Patients.

The Hospice Day Service 'Day Therapy' includes our Creative Living Team and offers a range of complementary therapies together with more conventional treatments; these include a Breathlessness Clinic and Creative Therapies as well as Clinical Assessment. Extensive Family and Carer Services are also provided. Last year about 3,000 people benefited from our services either as a patient, carer, family member or friend.
